Robinette Cook has a long record of public service having been elected three times as the Student Trustee for the Butte-Glenn Community College District.  Appointed by Governor Pete Wilson in 1993, the California State Senate confirmed Cook by a vote of 38-0 as a member of the California Student Aid Commission.  The Commission serves as the principal state agency responsible for administering financial aid programs for students attending public and private universities, colleges, and vocational schools in California.  During her tenure on the Commission Director Cook voted to establish EDFUND, which now administers over $2.4 billion in grants and loan guarantees. 

Robinette served as a Staff Assistant to Congressman Wally Herger for five years in his Chico District Office.  Mrs. Cook was elected to the Gridley Elementary School District Board and served as a member until the district consolidated to form the Gridley Unified School District where she was elected as a founding board member. In 2004 Director Cook was a Delegate from California to the Republican National Convention in New York City for President George W. Bush.  In 2006 Robin was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the Third District Agricultural Association - Silver Dollar Fair Board where she currently serves.  She holds an A.A. Degree with Honors in Early Childhood Education from Butte College.  Mrs. Cook is married to Josh Cook and they are the parents of 5 children who attend Chico Schools.
